The National Eczema Society takes great care to safeguard personal data provide by our supporters and members and to process this fairly and lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Why do we hold personal data?
We hold personal data – such as your name and address – so that we can send you any information that you have requested or deal with any subsequent queries that you may have. We also keep your details to enable us to keep you informed about our services and products and for fundraising and may share that information with our subsidiary company. We do not share or disclose this information to any third parties other than our subsidiary company and bss, a charity that help us to run our Helpline.
Email Helpline
This Helpline is run by the National Eczema Society with support of bss. We will not pass your contact details to any other organisation outside the National Eczema Society and our subsidiary company. We understand that it is important that your questions and answers are kept confidential. You will understand that email is not a secure means of communication and we cannot control that. Neither the National Eczema Society Group nor bss, however, will knowingly share or disclose the contents of any emails to or from the Eczema Helpline to other parties. We will not keep copies of any emails to or from the Helpline longer than 6 months.
Opting out
Whenever we ask for personal details that we may wish to record, we provide a simple means for you to tell us that you do not wish us to store this information. We always follow your wishes.
Information online and cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information sent from a website to your computer where it is stored on your hard drive. Most websites send cookies of some description. Cookies sent from our website do not contain any personally identifying information and are used solely to personalise your visits to the site.
