National Eczema Society promotes events, surveys, courses and resources on our social media channels that we believe are of interest and value to people with eczema. Here are some examples:
  • Colouring Adult Eczema: Getting Under the Skin, organised by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. We promoted a series of creative workshops held at different locations around the country. The workshops gave participants the opportunity to explore the multiple layers of adult eczema from the physical to the emotional through craft, photography and colourful lighting.
  • Theatre production: ECZEMA! by Maria Fusco. We promoted and attended this absurdist theatre production about eczema, which was supported by Wellcome Trust, as part of a public engagement project looking at adult eczema led by Professor Sinéad Langan of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
  • Sheffield IAPT. We promoted a free 5-session skin well-being course in Sheffield, which included habit reversal therapy to help with scratching, and confidence-building tips.
  • My Eczema Tracker app. This free app, produced by the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology at Nottingham University, aims to be a quick and easy way for people to keep a record of eczema symptoms.
