Emollients and eczema webinar
Wednesday 26 May 2021, 1-2pm
Presented by Julie Van Onselen, Dermatology Nurse Adviser
We’re sorry, all the places on this webinar have now been allocated. We are planning to record the webinar and post on YouTube, so look out for this in June.
You can find out more about emollients and eczema in our factsheet here.
Having a good skincare routine is crucial to self-managing eczema. Emollients, which are medical moisturisers, are the first line of defence against eczema. They are essential to help repair and protect the body’s natural skin barrier and reduce the itch associated with eczema. But which emollients are the most effective and what’s the best way to use them?
In this webinar, we explain why it’s so important to use emollients and how to get maximum benefit from them. The information is intended for adults who have eczema and parents of children with eczema. There is no charge to attend. We have limited capacity and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The webinar presentation lasts around 40 minutes, after which participants have the chance to ask questions using the message chat function.
The webinar is being presented by Julie Van Onselen, an experienced Dermatology Nurse who has worked with people with eczema for over 20 years. Julie is a Nurse Adviser to National Eczema Society.
National Eczema Society is planning to run webinars on a range of topics to help people self-manage their eczema more effectively. Keep looking out on social media and our website for more information in the coming months.
