Great North Run 2026 (half-marathon)
13 September 2026

Are you up to the challenge of running the largest half-marathon in the world and raising much needed funds for National Eczema Society?

Click here to register your interest in a National Eczema Society place!

The Great North Run sees thousands of runners taking on the iconic course between Newcastle-upon-Tyne and South Shields.

A great feeling of achievement at the finish

First held in 1981, this is now one of the predominant global running events attracting over 50,000 participants. Runing the largest half-marathon in the world and raising much needed funds for National Eczema Society is a fantastic feeling. Could you be one of them this year? Only the Great Manchester Run and London Marathon in the UK come close to attracting similar numbers of athletes.

Grab a charity place now!

National Eczema Society will have charity places available from December 2025 in the Great North Run on the 13th September 2026. We ask supporters who accept a place through us to commit to raising at least £300 for the Society, and hopefully much more! This can be raised through sponsorship and other fundraising activities. This amount covers the cost of your place plus an administration fee to the Great North Run, as well as our administration costs and the supply of a running vest.

We are hugely grateful to our runners for raising as much as they can, and for rasising awareness of eczema among their family, friends, colleagues and community

Do contact us at fundraising@eczema.org if you have any questions or want more information. Thank you for considering supporting our charity! National Eczema Society relies on voluntary donations to fund our work.
