Join us from 13 – 20 September to raise awareness and celebrate our wonderful eczema community.

This National Eczema Week, we’re focusing on the moments that matter most. We know that living with eczema is a constant journey of management and care, and that your experience deserves to be fully understood. This week, we’re giving you the tools to ‘Be Prepared, Be Heard’.

All too often, people living with eczema can leave a healthcare appointment feeling rushed, misunderstood, or unheard. Navigating these appointments is a crucial part of your eczema journey, and it’s essential that you feel confident and prepared at your eczema appointment.

That’s why we’re sharing stories and advice from the eczema community to not only recognize these challenges, but also provide practical advice and inspiration. We’re giving you the resources you need to walk into your next appointment with confidence, helping you ensure that your voice is heard.

This National Eczema Week, we’re proud to launch a brand new resource to help people with eczema feel more confident, supported and heard in their GP appointments. Eczema can be overwhelming, and many in our community tell us they often leave GP appointments feeling rushed, unheard or without the answers they need. That’s why we’ve created Be Prepared, Be Heard — a practical tool designed to help you get the most from your appointments. With space to track your symptoms, note down questions and reflect on the impact eczema is having on your daily life, this guide makes it easier to share your experiences clearly and ensure your concerns are recognised. Download it today, fill it in, and take it with you to your next GP appointment.

Over the summer, we asked the eczema community a simple but powerful question: “What’s your top tip for preparing for a GP appointment about your eczema?” The response was truly amazing. You shared an incredible amount of helpful tips and useful advice, showing just how resourceful and supportive our community is. This week, we will be sharing these invaluable tips to help you feel prepared and heard at your next appointment.

Hear from Chloe, Luke, and Jenny. Our incredible community members are opening up about their personal experiences with eczema, showing just how powerful their stories are. From facing everyday challenges to taking on the Great North Run and training for a marathon, hear how they’ve embraced their personal journey with eczema and channelled it into a source of inspiration. If you’re interested in sharing your eczema story, we’d love to hear from you. Share your story with us at info@eczema.org.
