We are a UK charity and have been working hard for nearly 50 years to make life better the eczema community.
Eczema is a complex inflammatory long-term condition involving our immune system, genetics, skin barrier and environment. Lots of people are affected – 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults have eczema – that’s around 8 million people in the UK, and it often has a huge impact on parents, partners and friends.
Our charity is passionate about supporting people who have this debilitating, long-term and life-changing health condition. Life can be incredibly tough when you have eczema, especially for children and their families.
We provide an extensive range of eczema information and advice, which we distribute across our communication channels and networks. We are also the voice of people with eczema, raising awareness of the condition, supporting research into new treatments and campaigning for better medical care.
Our charity relies entirely on supporters and company donations to fund our work, as well as membership subscriptions. When you join the Society, you will receive our bi-annual magazine, Exchange, which contains a wealth of useful articles and information to help you live well with eczema.
