Menopause and Eczema: Impact and Insights

It’s Menopause Awareness Month. Have you experienced eczema during the menopause? Did you notice changes to your skin hydration and appearance? What impact did this have on you?

There is currently very little research on the impact on women’s skin during menopause. To learn more, National Eczema Society and Aspire Pharma are asking women living in the UK who are perimenopausal, menopausal or have been through the menopause to share experiences through our Menopause and Eczema: Impact and Insights survey.

The survey takes around 6 minutes to complete and closes Monday 21st October at 12pm BST.

The results will be used in an awareness campaign to recognise this under-researched area.

Paula Oliver, Consultant Dermatology Nurse for Aspire, said this about the campaign: ‘This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the impact that the menopause has on women’s skin. For many women the menopause becomes a stressful period of time, and this in itself can exacerbate a flare with those that suffer with eczema’.
