Interested in becoming a Trustee of National Eczema Society?

Are you inspired by our work and vision of a world free of eczema? We’re looking for several people who are passionate about making a difference for our community.to join as Trustees of National Eczema Society (NES).

Trustees have a pivotal role at NES, driving our mission to make life better for people affected by eczema in the UK. Our Trustees set the charity’s strategic direction and make sure we focus on the biggest challenges and opportunities in eczema. Our Trustees are guided by a strong commitment to the values of NES, and a shared determination to achieve the greatest impact we can. There’s lots to do! Many in the eczema community look to NES to provide information and advice, raise awareness, support research and champion the needs of everyone affected by eczema.

You would join a Board, currently consisting of six Trustees, who are passionate about building a strong and effective organisation today and for the future.

Trustees draw on their personal experience of eczema, alongside their professional knowledge and skills, to help the Board reach informed collective decisions. We are especially interested in hearing from people with professional expertise in income generation, health policy, legal/company secretary work and human resources. See the Trustee Role Description for more information.

The NES Trustee role is voluntary and we ask you to attend five Trustee meetings a year, plus the charity’s AGM. Trustee meetings are mostly hybrid with in-person attendance at the Society’s offices in central London and virtual attendance available if preferred.

NES is an inclusive organisation and we value diversity. We encourage Trustee applications from all areas of the community, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or belief. As in other areas of the charity’s work, we aim for our governance body to reflect the diversity of the people and communities we serve.
